Favourite game character?

Unfortunately i'm still relatively new to playing games properly so genuinely can't think of any cool ones at the moment....which is why i want to know yours!!

So?

Saren (from mass effect)
Ezio Auditore da Firenze
Altair something something lol
The guy who built Rapture in Bioshock -_- (god how could I have forgotten)

I think I've ranted about the game before, but John Marston from Red Dead Redemption. Ezio from Assassin's Creed was pretty great too.

Clarence from Penumbra or Garrus in ME1.

^^ from what i've played of mass effect 1 i prefer wrex to garrus, but i can also see how he would annoy people.

@shiz and funy, i didn't actually like ezio that much. Obviously being an assassin is cool but he was actually a bit lame, based upon AC 2 anyway maybe he gets better in the others

Ac2>brotherhood>revelations
The point for him to have 3 games is that you see him growing up. You see him starting as a naive teenage boy who only thinks about girls and fun and than his parents die and he tries to find people responsible for their death to have revenge upon them. He spends a lot of time blinded by his thirst for vengeance, but in ac:brotherhood he realizes at the end that he was foolish and that he is now part of something even bigger and he is becoming more serious about everything and realizing a lot of his earlier mistakes (he is about 50 at the end of AC:Brotherhood). In AC:Revelations you actually see him being a wise old individual who is not fighting to get his revenge, but to do what is right and he continues to be part of the assassin struggle, even though he has already killed the people responsible for the death of his family. The writers of ac said that they had to spread it into 3 games, because you would not be able to watch him grow properly and it would be too fast to see the changes in one or even two games.

Seth Green did a great job with ME's Joker but I find the character to be incredibly dull.

Wheatley from portal 2 last year. Brilliant addition/performance added to a brilliant game. Not a playable character, though.

Reaching back further I always loved Samus Aran. Other M didn't develop her the way I would have wanted, but in general she's a bad ass.

A character that kills things...kills them dead, preferably with weapons, but bare hands will work in a pinch.

My second favorite game character is myself, playing god games or city builders and generally making life hell for everyone and they can't do a damn thing about it.
